Job summary

Medix is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to provide exceptional customer service by handling calls from pharmacies, clients, and patients, and delivering the required information and support. The role focuses on delivering a seamless service experience across multiple communication channels and requires a Pharmacy Technician license.

The position involves handling prior authorization inquiries, understanding various benefit plans, and escalating issues to the right party when needed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Experience in a call center/high volume call environment specifically in insurance, pharmacy, or healthcare setting preferred
• Experience in pharmacy, PBM, or insurance sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls from pharmacies, clients, and patients and provide requested information or support.
• Provide clinical call support for prior authorization-related inquiries and document these in the ticketing system.
• Understand benefit plans and appropriately communicate this information to patients.
• Escalate calls to the appropriate party for resolution when needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency across multiple communication platforms to ensure consistent service experiences.
