Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Pharmacist Supervisor to oversee pharmacy operations and manage a team, ensuring regulatory compliance and medication safety. The role includes staff training, performance development, and cross-functional communication while supporting specialty areas such as IV operations and operational services.

The Retail Pharmacy Supervisor also serves as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) of the retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standards and regulations; maintain proper documentation.
• Regulatory agency readiness and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist in medication safety initiatives and documentation.
• Maintain safe, efficient pharmacy operations and workflow.
• Lead staff training and cross-training; support team members.
• Effectively communicate with healthcare providers and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure efficient workflow.
• Coordinate policies, procedures, and regulatory inspections.
• Ensure timely, accurate dispensing of medications and proper storage.
• Manage controlled substances handling, records, and audits.
• Support PIC and pharmacy leadership in department goals.
• Participate in quality, safety, and medication management projects.
