Job summary

SSM Health in Shawnee, OK, is seeking a Pharmacist to supervise the pharmacy site, services, and personnel while ensuring budgets and workflows are followed.

You will perform duties of a managing pharmacist and support clinical staff, maintaining productive relationships with site leadership and prescribers. This is a day shift, regular employee role with sign-on and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or B.Pharmacy) from an accredited school.
  • Oklahoma Pharmacist license required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff, students and residents as assigned, including recruitment and scheduling.
  • Serves as a resource to the pharmacy team and partners with leadership to set performance standards.
  • Prepares task assignments to ensure sites follow approved workflow.
  • Assists in developing and reviewing the pharmacy budget and budgets.
  • Promotes a customer service oriented image and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ensures medication security and compliance with state/federal laws.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Performs duties of a clinical staff pharmacist as required.
  • Precepts students and residents; performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Supervises pharmacy site, services, and personnel assigned.
Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems and workflows.
Ensures costs, including labor, pharmaceutical, supply, and other expenses are within budget.
Performs duties of a managing pharmacist in accordance with all federal and state regulations and accreditation and certification requirements.
Performs all duties of a clinical community pharmacist.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervises staff, students and residents as assigned which may include: recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, staff development, counseling, disciplining, scheduling, payroll and conducting staff meetings.
  • Serves as a resource to the pharmacy team in the provision of pharmacy services. Works collaboratively with pharmacy leadership to set performance standards for the pharmacy department and maintain pharmacy staff engagement.
  • Prepares appropriate task assignments for daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities to ensure all sites follow established workflow and procedures.
  • Assists in the development of the pharmacy budget. Reviews monthly financial and human resource budgets.
  • Creates and promotes a positive, customer service-oriented image of the pharmacy and ensures pharmacy meets a high standard of confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Actively assess the security of medication areas and the compliance of personnel with established policies, procedures, state and federal laws including record keeping.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Performs duties of a clinical staff pharmacist in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Creates and maintains positive, productive working relationships with site leadership and prescribers.
  • Precept pharmacy students and residents, as applicable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D; Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school of pharmacy
EXPERIENCE
  • One year experience
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
  • Pharmacist - Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
