Job summary

Albertsons Companies, through its Safeway banners, seeks a pharmacy student intern to gain hands-on experience in a progressive pharmacy setting. You will work under a licensed pharmacist to support patient care, counseling, and front-end services in a community pharmacy.

Interns participate in immunizations, MTM, counseling, and vaccination workflows while developing clinical skills and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Must hold a valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under supervision of a licensed pharmacist or preceptor.
• Fills prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Provides advice to customers and health professionals on prescription information and drug products.
• Supports initiatives to improve pharmacy profitability and efficiency.
• Participates in clinical services and patient care activities.
