Job summary

Kintegra Health is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Services to lead the Pharmacy Department in Gastonia, NC. This salaried role reports to the COO, oversees pharmacists, technicians, and clerks, and ensures regulatory compliance while expanding access to essential medications through the 340b program and related initiatives.

The candidate will train staff, manage budgets, collaborate with IT and clinical teams, and travel to clinics as needed to provide advisory oversight and support.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand English.
• Oversees the work of staff.
• Ensure staff perform tasks per corporate policies and safety rules.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and communicate with all levels of personnel.
• Experience: 3 years of pharmacy managerial experience.
• Knowledge of medical office software for updating patient demographic information, posting charges and payments.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; strong organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to function as part of a team; initiative.

Responsibilities

• Supervises departmental personnel, including hiring, orientation, workload, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Prepares and dispenses medicines per written orders by licensed practitioners.
• Reviews and revises Policy and Procedure manual annually or as needed.
• Coordinates and supervises department operations.
• Develops and maintains pharmacy services per state and federal regulations.
• Initiates and implements Quality Improvement for the department.
• Creates and maintains job descriptions and conducts annual performance reviews.
• Manages planning, supervision, and execution of all pharmacy operations.
• Uses PMG for income and eligibility verification.
• Uses EMR for patient information and provider communication.
• Assists with training and setup of new pharmacies.
• Provides strategic guidance on running and growing an FQHC pharmacy.
• Keeps abreast of industry developments and applies them to Kintegra Health.
