We are hiring for the position of Pharmacy Senior Technician I/UKHC at UK HealthCare. The role involves assisting pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital setting, with responsibilities including compounding sterile and non-sterile products, communication with nursing, medication delivery, Pyxis management, and inventory management.

This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. The starting pay has been recently adjusted to a minimum of $18.50/hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related experience
• Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by PTCB or NHA; registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements

Use of a computer workstation, repetitive motions, occasional pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and wearing personal protective equipment as needed.

Additional Information

Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize are essential skills. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital or retail pharmacy technician experience.
