Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform computer entry of prescription information including patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution.
• Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorization from doctors.
• Retrieve appropriate medication from inventory per state law.
• Create prescription labels and place them on containers per state law.
• Place medication into prescription containers per state law.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input data into the computer system per state law.
• Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.
• Assist in inventory management including order review, returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where state law allows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualification Requirements
