Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health science or related field is required.
• 1–3 years of pharmacy billing/revenue cycle experience is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license in Tennessee is required; CPT/PA certifications may be preferred.
• Experience with payer denials and pre-authorization processes is expected.
• Strong knowledge of third‑party payor billing requirements and reimbursement rules.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile pharmacy charges; submit or resubmit claims to insurers.
• Track denials, edits, and resolutions; communicate with payors and pharmacy team.
• Provide training and guidance to PA team and technicians as needed.
• Generate routine reports on charge trends and denial rates.
• Support audit requests and system improvements in billing processes.
