  • Manage compliance and regulatory activities for Novant Health pharmacies.
  • Oversee quality improvement projects and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Compliance & Regulatory team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Pharmacy Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. Master's Degree, preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Registered pharmacist with minimum of 5 years clinical experience, required.
    • Two years of applicable regulatory experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:Current Pharmacist Licensure (RPh or PharmD), required.
  • Additional Skills Required:
    • The Pharmacy Regulatory Specialist assumes responsibility for managing:
    • Accreditation, certification, regulatory compliance, and survey activities in conjunction with the Pharmacy Compliance & Regulatory team, pharmacy business lines, and other relevant Novant Health stakeholders by maintaining continuous readiness structures and key relationships with leaders.
    • Processes that assure Novant Health pharmacies meet local, regional, and corporate standards for patient care, patient safety, and clinical practices as outlined in statutes, regulations, accreditation standards, policies, procedures, forms, and other documents.
    • Performance improvement activities for Novant Health pharmacies including overseeing quality improvement projects and monitoring/analyzing relevant key performance indicators and metrics.
    • Other projects and assignments with the Pharmacy Compliance & Regulatory team as needed.
  • Additional Skills Preferred:Excellent verbal communications skills. Displays excellent computer, writing, and editing skills. Demonstrates the ability to write clearly and concisely, and in a manner that diminishes risk and provides a clear concise guide for best practices. Ability to work collaboratively with other health care professionals and lead change. Ability to organize and determine work priorities and delegate appropriately. Possesses consulting skills. Is team-oriented, supportive, and cooperative. Uses appropriate decision making strategies: authoritative, consultative, consensus. Exhibits self-direction, independent practice, and excellent time management skills. Able to continuously re-prioritize, demonstrate flexibility, and process multiple issues simultaneously. Creates an environment that supports and respects diversity, modeling behavior and language that is inclusive, and nurturing an environment where it is acceptable to discuss differences and issues of diversity. Has a questioning attitude. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
