Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Quality Assurance & Patient Safety Specialist to support patient safety and continuous quality improvement. You will collect, review, and audit prescription quality event data, validate data accuracy, and assist with trend analysis across pharmacy operations.

You will work with STARS and other pharmacy systems, helping ensure data is accurate, complete, and actionable to drive meaningful improvements in patient safety and healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus active Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) credential.
• PTCB certification granted by state licensing authority.
• Experience communicating verbally and in writing to diverse audiences.
• Basic to intermediate skills in Excel for data handling and reporting.
• Willing to travel up to 10% for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Audit STARS events to review quality events.
• Query STARS data via Business Objects and collect data for BA.
• Download data into spreadsheets and store on central Drive for analysis.
• Assist Business Analysts with data preparation for analyses.
• Communicate findings to the BA for further review.
