Description

The Pharmacy Quality Assistant’s main responsibility includes assisting physicians in completing patient refill requests and medication prior authorizations. The Pharmacy Quality Assistant will also be responsible for researching patient assistance programs, performing quality audits, and supporting the maintenance of the A1C At Home program(s) tied to Onduo, Lightpath, and other Verily programs/products.

Responsibilities
  • Complete medication refill requests in a timely and accurate manner according to protocols; prepares prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers and patients as needed.
  • Research and assist patients with completing Patient Assistance Program applications.
  • Participate in chart audits for documentation compliance to meet quality measures. Monitors and assists the practices with quality measure exception report review and Lab/DI tracking.
  • Prospectively and retrospectively work to identify and close gaps in care. Performs outreach to patients to ensure gap closure and testing completed.
  • Facilitate the ingestion of lab results into the EMR to support the A1C At Home Program(s) and other relevant quality programs.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy Tech license.
  • National Certified Pharmacy Quality Assistant certification.
  • Ability to acquire licensure in multiple states.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-state licensure.
  • At least one year of prior experience in ambulatory pharmacy.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and communication skills including telephonic and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including empathy and cultural competence, time management skills, and a proven ability to meet deadlines with the ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to use motivational interviewing techniques to probe patient/caregivers concerns and identify solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $52,000 - $75,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
