Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Maine in Brunswick, ME is seeking an Inventory and Purchasing Specialist to manage inventory levels, review purchasing dashboards, and place daily orders for medications and supplies. You will help maximize margins and ensure formulary accuracy while coordinating quarterly physical inventories.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician license or registration (PTCB) preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute for experience.
• Advanced proficiency in pharmacy operations systems (SureCost/Frameworks/QS1) preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels to meet operational needs and target margins.
• Review dashboards and reports to optimize purchasing metrics and cost savings.
• Place daily orders for medication and supplies in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update formulary and drug files; ensure NDC accuracy.
• Coordinate and manage quarterly physical inventory and par level reviews.
• Process purchase orders and invoices accurately and on time.
• Communicate updates on product availability, pricing, and alternatives to staff.
