Job summary

Walmart Pharmacy is hiring a Pre‑Grad Intern to join our community-focused team in Hoover, AL. You will assist with patient care, help process prescriptions and OTC orders, and support the safety and efficiency of pharmaceutical services in a fast-paced setting.

As a Pre‑Grad Intern, you will learn under pharmacists, uphold HIPAA and PHI guidelines, and contribute to community health initiatives while supporting inventory and merchandising in the pharmacy area.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical care and best practices.
• Ability to foster relationships with customers and pharmacy team.
• Interest in community activities and patient outreach.

As a Pre‑Grad Intern, you will be paid to help support our team's goals and contribute to the success of the company.

• Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to Company policies, and local, State, and Federal guidelines.
• Help with processing prescription and over‑the‑counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Deliver patient care by recognizing the patient, assessing their needs, and helping navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.50 - $33.50* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

• Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
