Job summary

Walmart Pharmacy is seeking a Pre-Grad Intern to support patient care in a community setting. You will learn and improve customer health and wellness while advocating for patient wellbeing under supervision.

As a Pharmacy intern, you will help process prescriptions and OTC orders, maintain confidentiality, and support inventory and store operations. Eligible students gain hands-on experience in a dynamic pharmacy team at Walmart.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/PHI guidelines and patient confidentiality.
• Experience with prescription processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure confidentiality of information and records in line with policies and legal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and OTC orders and purchases.
• Deliver patient care by assessing needs and guiding therapies.

What you'll do

• Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to Company policies, and local, State, and Federal guidelines.
• Help with processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Deliver patient care by recognizing the patient, assessing their needs, and helping navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.50 - $32.50* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

• Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
