Job summary

Vibra Travels is seeking a Travel Inpatient Pharmacist to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. The role involves delivering inpatient pharmacy services across facilities, verifying orders, and ensuring safe medication use while traveling between assignments.

Ideal candidates hold PharmD or BS Pharmacy, have at least 2 years inpatient experience, and possess a current pharmacist license plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license in the state of employment
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• PharmD or BS Pharmacy from an accredited program
• Experience verifying medication orders and dispensing in inpatient setting
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between assignments
• Willingness to travel by air and ground transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services in assigned facilities
• Verify medication orders and prepare/dispense medications accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain medication safety, dosing accuracy, and clinical protocols
• Utilize CPOE and pharmacy information systems effectively
• Reconcile medications and participate in clinical consults as needed

Job description

VIBRA TRAVELS is seeking a Travel Inpatient Pharmacist to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. We’re looking for dependable, detail-focused travelers with experience providing pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting. If you're ready to support safe and effective medication management while traveling the country, this is your opportunity!

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment required
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program required
• Experience verifying medication orders and preparing and dispensing medications in an inpatient setting required
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations:

• Current, valid, and active state license to practice as a Pharmacist required
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and required by some clients
• Additional certifications may be required by Vibra Travels and/or client

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Strong knowledge of inpatient medication safety, dosing, and clinical protocols
• Familiarity with computerized physician order entry (CPOE) systems and pharmacy information systems
• Ability to perform medication reconciliation and participate in clinical consults as required
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Free from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace
