Job summary

Amber Specialty Pharmacy in Omaha is seeking a Patient Access Technician for an apprenticeship path. You will handle patient intake, verify benefits, and initiate prior authorizations, while delivering top-tier customer service.

As part of the Operations team, you will use tracking systems, coordinate with insurers and providers, and ensure accurate documentation and communication throughout patient care. This is an office-based role with weekday hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current unrestricted state pharmacy technician registration/licensure and national or state certification per State Board requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Route incoming documentation for new patients, refills, and additional paperwork.
• Explain company programs and services to referral sources and provider staff.
• Coordinate with insurance, co-pay assistance, and providers via phone, fax, and email.
• Enter data into tracking software; support clinical staff as needed.
• Complete patient cost of benefits estimates and attach to records for care centers.
