PharMerica, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Order Entry Technician in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Join a closed-door, non-retail pharmacy serving long-term care and senior living clients with a focus on accuracy and service.

Responsibilities include entering orders, basic calculations, and claims follow-up, in a supportive team with ongoing training and advancement opportunities. Licensure fees may be covered for new hires and eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic computer use and pharmacy systems.
• Familiar with medical terminology used in pharmacy settings.
• Ability to verify orders and calculate basic dosages.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with accuracy.
• Perform basic drug calculations and conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; follow up in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate management reports.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company policies.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks as directed by management.

M-F: 10:30am-7pm

Sa-Su: alternating weekends

As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician you will:

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Desired:

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
