Job summary

PharMerica in Macon, GA seeks a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our non-retail, closed-door team serving long-term care and senior living clients.

You will enter and verify medication orders, perform basic drug calculations, and stay compliant with Medicaid rules under pharmacist supervision, with opportunities for training and career growth. We offer benefits and license fee coverage for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders accurately.
• Conduct basic drug calculations.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; follow up in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.
