Qualifications

• 5+ years in leadership or people management.
• Experience in a metrics-driven, high-volume operational environment.
• Background in pharmacy, healthcare, medical insurance, or related industry.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacy benefits and claims specialists.
• Manage daily workload distribution, staffing coverage, productivity, and service levels.
• Monitor performance against established metrics and operational goals.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and develop improvement plans.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new staff.
• Oversee onboarding and training to ensure employees are prepared to perform effectively.
• Identify workflow improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and consistency.
• Partner with other operational teams to resolve issues and maintain a high level of service.
• Address performance concerns through coaching and corrective action.

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor for a direct hire, onsite opportunity. This role will lead a team supporting pharmacy benefits, insurance verification, claims, and patient outreach operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong people leadership experience along with a background in pharmacy, healthcare, medical insurance, or a related highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacy benefits, claims, insurance verification, and/or patient support specialists
• Manage daily workload distribution, staffing coverage, productivity, and service levels
• Monitor individual and team performance against established metrics and operational goals
• Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and develop improvement plans when needed
• Support recruiting, interviewing, and selection of new team members
• Oversee onboarding and training to ensure employees are prepared to perform effectively
• Identify workflow or process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and consistency
• Partner with other operational teams to resolve issues and maintain a high level of service
• Address performance concerns through coaching and appropriate corrective action

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership, supervisory, or people management experience
• Experience leading teams in a metrics-driven, high-volume operational environment
• Pharmacy, healthcare, medical insurance, pharmacy benefits, claims, or related industry experience
• Strong coaching, performance management, and team development skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
