Job summary

GRX Holdings, LLC is seeking a Full Time Pharmacy Manager for the Medicap Pharmacy in the Ames, IA area. Hours are 9:00am-6:00pm Monday–Friday and 9:00am-1:00pm on Saturday, with no evenings or Sundays.

The role focuses on overseeing all pharmacy operations, patient services, and personnel supervision while maintaining compliance and quality service. You will supervise staff, optimize scheduling, and ensure accurate prescriptions and customer support.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Reliable with a keen eye for detail.
Experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus.
Experience with an online prescription system is a plus.
Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee the customer service provided by employees.
Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services.
Resolves customer complaints and helps respond to customers’ needs.
Conducts community outreach.
Supervises operation of the store and pharmacy, including scheduling and task delegation.
Supervises the control of the store money including register counts, bank deposits, change orders and investigates draw offages.
Supervises merchandising by planning and ensuring retail floor has proper inventory including seasonal items, signs and advertising.
Oversee inventory management, including proper ordering, maintaining minimal unused inventory, overstock and expiring product.
Supervises receiving, stocking, pricing, returning, and transferring of product.
Ensures the store is clean and presentable at all times; manages repair and maintenance requests; responds to emergencies should they arise.
Ensures staff has knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software and ensures response to any system problems is resolved in a timely manner.
Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Assigns daily operational responsibilities/tasks and sets expectations for employees.
Analyzes financial and performance data; develops goals and action plans to increase sales and control costs.
Identifies sales opportunities to ensure the growth and performance of the store.
Manage staff members performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals and expectations, observing performance, providing feedback and giving recognition.
Provides coaching for staff members.
Monitors and ensures timely completion of required training and ongoing training.
Promotes teamwork and motivates team members by establishing expectations, tracking results, showing enthusiasm and sharing the company and store vision.
Ensures compliance with all company policies, applicable employment laws, all pharmacy state and federal laws and is consistently fair in the treatment of all team members.
Communicates regularly with team members through one-on-one discussions, team meetings, answering questions and ensuring communication is open between managing and non-managing staff.
Supports Pharmacist in Charge with his/her direct responsibilities by working in partnership.
Other duties as assigned.
