Job summary

SSM Shawnee Hospital Retail Pharmacy in the United States is seeking a pharmacist leader to supervise staff and oversee daily pharmacy operations. The role includes budget oversight, staff development, and ensuring HIPAA compliance across all processes.

You will manage medication orders, verify prescriptions, provide patient counseling, and drive quality improvements while ensuring safe dispensing and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required from an accredited school.
• Minimum one year experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, students and residents; recruits, orients, trains and manages performance.
• Provides resource support to the pharmacy team and collaborates with leadership on standards.
• Develops workflows, monitors budgets and reconciles pharmacy claims and inventory.
• Conducts medication safety reviews, incident reporting and quality improvement.
