Naval Hospital Pensacola, Dir of Operations, seeks a supervisor to manage 3+ pharmacy technicians and support pharmacists in processing and dispensing prescriptions. This Direct Hire Solicitation uses DHA for DoD workforce eligibility.

US Citizens with qualifying education and experience will be considered. Qualifications include one year of specialized experience at GS-06 level and one year of graduate education in a related field, with transcripts required.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes filling prescriptions, distributing pharmaceuticals, maintaining accurate inventory of controlled substances, and utilizing pharmacy based computer systems.
• One full academic year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, or Pharmaceutical Sciences. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
• A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.

• Lead over 3 or more pharmacy technicians who perform pharmacy technician duties and assist the pharmacists in the processing and dispensing of prescriptions.
