Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Manager of Retail Pharmacy in Milwaukee to lead the pharmacy team and deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the community. The role involves immunizations, patient consultations, and medication therapy management.

The position requires 2 years of management experience in pharmacy, a PharmD is preferred, and active pharmacist registration in the state. Flexibility, strong customer service, and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years pharmacy management experience, 4-8 years related pharmacy experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
• Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
• Immunization Certification or willing to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
• Multitasking and time management skills.
• May require vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrative and physician leadership within partnered health centers to implement pharmacist driven clinical and dispensing services to the patients served.
• Implement best practices and ensure department compliance.
• Ensure adequate staffing is present to fulfill the needs of the pharmacy.
• Maintain accurate records of all prescription medication received and dispensed.
• Ensure policies are in place regarding accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions and those policies are followed.
• Ensure that security of the prescription area and its contents are maintained at all times, including the restriction of unauthorized persons and reporting thefts/diversions.
