Job summary

Genoa Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Manager in Marshall, MN to lead daily pharmacy operations within Western Mental Health. You will dispense medications, supervise staff, and coach the team to deliver high-quality patient care.

You will counsel patients, oversee clinical outcomes with providers, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws while growing the pharmacy’s financial performance and community presence. Monday–Thursday hours with no weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is required.
  • Current Minnesota pharmacist license is required.
  • Certified immunizer or willingness to obtain certification is required.
  • Willing to complete LAI training and administer LAI.

Responsibilities

  • Create a great consumer and clinic partner experience and build solid relationships.
  • Advise clinical staff and meet clinical outcomes with the team.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, adverse effects, and questions.
  • Ensure policies and laws are followed by the pharmacy and staff.
  • Perform wellness services such as immunizations and flu shots.
  • Drive financial profitability and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and coach pharmacy staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Promote a collaborative team culture aligned with core values.
  • Recruit top talent for pharmacy roles and engage the community
  • Review KPIs with staff and identify trends for improvement.
  • Lead workforce and business planning for site operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD

The Pharmacy Manager is a key position that has a substantial impact with our consumers and clinic partners by partnering and advising both on our pharmaceutical care services and benefits. This individual is responsible for the financial, clinical and quality for pharmacy services and will oversee the daily operations of a pharmacy including dispensing prescription medication and spending one-on-one time with the consumers. Coaching, developing and managing pharmacy staff is also a key responsibility of this role. The manager will act as a talent steward and proactively seek top talent for the pharmacy roles. Pharmacy hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm & Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm / No weekends or holidays.

Located Within: Western Mental Health, 1212 E College Drive, Marshall, MN
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Creates a great consumer and clinic partner experience and continually builds solid relationships with both groups to proactively meet their needs
  • Serves as an expert to the clinical staff and proactively meets with their team on meeting their clinical outcomes
  • Counsels and educates patients on the usage of medications, adverse effects, schedules and any personal questions from the consumers
  • Ensures the pharmacy and team members follow policies and standards in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Performs wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots and other preventive services
  • Responsible for financial profitability and identifies opportunities to drive growth in the pharmacy
  • Motivates, develops and coaches all pharmacy staff to ensure they are meeting their potential and delivering exceptional service
  • Creates an engaging team environment which promotes compassion and models our core values and culture amongst the team
  • Proactively promotes opportunities and recruiting top talent at our pharmacies
  • Reviews key performance indicators with pharmacy staff and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Conducts workforce planning and business planning to have operational excellence at the site
  • Builds solid relationships with the community, stakeholders and clinic partners to ensure we are meeting all needs and promote the pharmacy business
  • Drives marketing plans ad materials to promote all pharmacy offerings

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD

  • Pharmacy leadership experience
  • Retail pharmacy experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
