Qualifications:
- Active and current Idaho Pharmacist license.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
- At least three years of clinical experience in a Community Health Center, Indian Health Service, or tribal health setting.
- Minimum of three years of managerial or supervisory experience in a pharmacy.
- Experience in specialty, compounding, and infusion pharmacy is preferred.
- Willingness to receive COVID-19 vaccination as per current policies.
Essential Functions:
- Hearing: within normal limits, with or without corrective devices.
- Vision: adequate to read 12-point type, with or without corrective lenses.
- Verbal interaction with staff, clients, and the public.
- Manual dexterity for writing and data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Standing and walking 50% of the day.
- Pushing up to 30 lbs and pulling up to 20 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Marimn Health pharmacy operations.
- Develop and maintain a positive work environment emphasizing customer service and quality care.
- Manage pharmacy personnel, including productivity, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, training, and development.
- Ensure credentialing and privileging requirements are met for staff.
- Maintain accurate medication inventory and track medication errors.
- Meet accreditation standards, monitor polypharmacy, and stay updated on pharmacy practices.
- Develop standards of care and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Prepare reports and attend meetings.
- Chair the Quarterly P&T Committee and departmental meetings.
- Balance clinical and administrative duties, functioning as a clinical pharmacist.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and keep supervisors informed.
- Review standing orders and medications annually.
- Communicate with providers and staff regarding patient care and service improvements.
- Consult on drug therapy, conduct drug utilization reviews, and educate staff and patients.
- Manage therapy for selected patients and oversee third-party billing processes.
- Implement peer review systems and monitor quality indicators.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
