Job summary

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 12-week contract in Wayne, New Jersey. This full-time assignment supports pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and a team of pharmacists and technicians.

The role covers leadership, oversight of sterile and hazardous drug compounding, adherence to state and federal laws, and pharmacy workflow management including in-home intrathecal pump care.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted New Jersey Pharmacist license.
• Active California Pharmacist license.
• Previous pharmacy management or PIC experience.
• Experience verifying sterile medications.
• IV compounding experience preferred; sterile compounding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall responsibility for pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee compliance related to sterile and hazardous drug compounding.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements.
• Provide leadership and oversight to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Support staff development, training, and performance management.
• Review and approve patient care plans for therapy appropriateness, dosing, medication compatibility, and safety.
• Perform standard pharmacist responsibilities related to in-home intrathecal pump management.
• Support medication verification and pharmacy workflow.
• Maintain appropriate policies, procedures, documentation, and quality standards.

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for an urgent 12-week contract opportunity with a Home Infusion and Compounding Pharmacy in Wayne, New Jersey. This is a full-time position supporting pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and a team of pharmacists and technicians.

Term of Assignment: 12-week contract

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No on-call required

Pharmacy Team Includes:

• 4 Pharmacists
• 7 Pharmacy Technicians
• Director of Pharmacy
• Pharmacy Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Clear, active, and unrestricted New Jersey Pharmacist license
• Clear, active, and unrestricted California Pharmacist license
• Previous pharmacy management and/or PIC experience
• Experience verifying sterile medications
• IV compounding experience strongly preferred, but not required
• Sterile compounding experience is a plus
• Must be a local candidate able to work onsite in Wayne, NJ

Pay: $65-$68 per hour while on contract, (based on experience.)
