Job summary

Quality Food Center is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to oversee all aspects of pharmacy practice in a retail setting. You will manage budget, inventory, pricing, and staff training while delivering excellent customer service and compliant care.

Responsibilities include leading the pharmacy team, optimizing workflow, ensuring regulatory compliance, detailing physicians locally, and participating in public health initiatives. Applicants must have Pharm.D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited U.S. school
• 2+ years retail pharmacy experience or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years old
• License must be in good standing

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist and act as a role model for the pharmacy team; direct workflow to reduce customer wait times
• Develop, implement, supervise, and promote the sales plan and other sales initiatives for the division pharmacy department
• Perform duties required of a registered pharmacist in the state of employment and follow legal and company requirements
• Direct the pharmacy team to achieve budgeted labor, volume, inventory, and sales goals
• Comply with all corporate mandated controlled substance operating procedures
• Monitor third-party or insurance profitability; handle third-party problems, rejections, and audits promptly
• Schedule all pharmacy staff to control labor costs
• Maintain all pharmacy records required by state and federal laws and company policies
• Direct pharmacy to meet budgeted labor, volume, inventory and sales goals
• Perform detailing visiting local physicians and community targets
• Promote and participate in public health initiatives and disease state management services
• Travel as needed to support business needs
• Supervise and coach staff; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments and manage conflicts professionally

Accountable for all aspects of pharmacy practice, within the limits of state and federal laws and corporate policies. Manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by monitoring the pharmacy budget, minimizing or altogether avoiding unauthorized overtime, performing necessary pharmacy staff training and development, providing excellence in customer service, managing prescription pricing and generic utilization, controlling pharmacy inventory, and providing/implementing/participating in corporate approved clinical services. • Schedule all pharmacy staff members in a manner to help control or avoid unnecessary labor costs
