Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead day-to-day operations, oversee staffing, and drive clinical services across the pharmacy.

You will ensure safe prescription filling, staff development, and compliance with all policies while mentoring a team of pharmacists and technicians. The role requires a Doctorate or PharmD, active pharmacist license in the state, CPR and immunization credentials, and retail management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Prepare and conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implement and execute pharmacy programs, including financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services, and profitability of the pharmacy.
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Hold team members accountable for results and drive growth of the pharmacy business.
• Demonstrate leadership and development capabilities.
• Be competent with Meijer Policies and Procedures and state/federal laws.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations (where allowed).
• Communicate workload priorities effectively.

Plans, directs and supervises team members in the day to day operations of the Pharmacy. Duties include, but are not limited to: technician hiring, filling prescriptions accurately, staff training, financial management, inventory control, scheduling, providing great friendly service, team building, clinical services, patient safety, and pharmacy adherence to all corporate policies, federal and state legal policies.

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
