Job summary

AndHealth LLC is hiring a Pharmacy Liaison (Patient Engagement Specialist) to join our onsite team in Indianapolis, IN. You will work at our Health Center partner site, supporting prescription processing, patient communication, and coordination with pharmacists to improve access and adherence.

This role requires a pharmacy technician credential in IN, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; travel is possible, and vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in IN required.
• Nationally certified (PTCB or ExCPT) or obtained within 6 months.
• Willing to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Input patient data, insurance information, and prescriptions into the pharmacy management system.
• Count, pour, and label medications while following safety protocols.
• Support patients at pickup, resolve insurance rejections, and communicate medication status.
• Stock inventory, perform cycle counts, and manage outdated stock.
• Coordinate prior authorizations with pharmacist for high-cost drugs.
• Assist patients with financial assistance programs and copay cards.
• Conduct outreach calls for specialty patients to schedule refills and adherence.
• Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive biologics and injectables.
• Provide on-site or cross-site remote support as needed.
• Support other projects as required.

We are looking for Patient Engagement Specialists to play an important role at AndHealth. This is an onsite position located at our Health Center partner site in Indianapolis, IN.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Prescription Processing:Accurately input patient data, insurance information, and prescriptions into the pharmacy management system.
• Fulfillment:Count, pour, and label medications efficiently whilemaintainingstrict adherence to safety protocols.
• Customer Experience:Supportpatients at the pickup counter, resolving insurance rejections,and providing clear communicationregardingmedication status.
• Inventory Management:Execute stocking, cycle counts, and managing outdated inventory.
• Prior Authorization Coordination:Collaborate with the pharmacist to gather clinical documentation andsubmittingprior authorizations formedication includinghigh-cost specialty drugsif needed.
• Patient Advocacy:Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and manufacturers to help patients access financialassistanceprograms or copay cards.
• Adherence Monitoring:Conduct outreach calls to specialty patients to schedule refills and ensure they are following their prescribed therapy.
• Cold Chain Management:Ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive biologics and specialty injectables.
• Other:Maintainflexibility to provide on-site support or cross-site remoteassistance, ensuring operational continuity as business needs evolve.
• Support otherprojectsbasedon business needs.

Education & Licensure Requirements:

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of IN required.
• Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications in multiple states.

Other Skills or Qualifications:

• 3+ years of pharmacyexperience is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
• Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
• The position may require some travel. Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
• Must be organized and able to work independently.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.
