Job summary

AndHealth in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacist to join a community health center. You will perform final verification of prescriptions with high accuracy and supervise pharmacy technicians to optimize workflow.

We are looking for a Pharmacist to play an important role at AndHealth.

This is a full‑time position located at a Community Health Center in Ohio.

This position will report to the Pharmacy Manager. In the absence of a Pharmacy Manager, this position will report to the next level manager unless otherwise defined or assigned.

What you’ll do in the role:
  • Perform final verification on all prescriptions with 100% accuracy maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of high‑value specialty medications (e.g., cold chain management).
  • Maintain strict compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Drive clinical intake and navigate benefits investigations.
  • Provide specialized counseling to patients on complex therapy regimens.
  • Document clinical interventions and monitor patient adherence/side effects.
  • Collaborate with providers to manage Prior Authorizations and Appeals.
  • Provide clear, empathetic medication counseling, including specialized education for patients on complex specialty therapy regimens as needed.
  • Act as a clinical resource for patients and healthcare providers regarding drug interactions and therapy management.
  • Resolve insurance adjudication issues and complex billing hurdles.
  • Other responsibilities based on business needs.
Education & Licensure Requirements:
  • PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
  • Unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Ohio.
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses in multiple states.
Other Skills or Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of direct patient care experience in pharmacy is preferred.
  • BLS/CPR is required (or must be willing to obtain).
  • Immunization delivery certification is preferred.
  • 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously.
  • Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • The position may require some travel. Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.

Additional Requirements:
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Screening: Documentation of a negative screening conducted within the last 12 months.
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of a completed vaccine series or a positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.
  • Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR): Proof of a completed vaccine series or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.
  • Varicella (Chickenpox): Proof of vaccination, documented medical history of the disease, or positive blood titers from within the last 12 months.
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis): Documentation of a booster administered within the last 10 years.
  • Influenza: Proof of vaccination for the current flu season.
  • COVID‑19: Documentation of primary vaccine series and any boosters administered.
  • General: Additional health requirements may be requested as necessary.
