Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Participate in unit dose distribution processes.
  • Assist in compounding medications as per protocols.
  • Manage medication dispensing through automated systems.

Education

Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification

Job description
Work Schedule

Per Diem, flexible schedule. Various Day/Evening shifts between Monday-Friday 0600-2230, every other weekend, rotating holidays. You will work at the UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital.

Qualifications
  • Hospital experience in unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications including USP , IV admixture including USP and , and automated dispensing machine technology. Required
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a "Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation" license from IDFPR. Required
  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued. Required
