Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience with dispensing medications and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates: average leadership rating 3.0+ with no disciplinary actions in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; refers to medical provider as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications in accordance with regulations.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, staff scheduling, roles, and shift changes.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing per state/federal laws when filling prescriptions.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to define new strategic opportunities.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and supports staff and patients.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed to prevent rejections.
