Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates: average leadership rating of at least 3.0 and no disciplinary actions in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, contraindications, privacy, generics, cost, and OTC products.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Ensures operations comply with regulations and policies; manages staffing, scheduling, and supervision.
• Maintains Good Faith Dispensing practices per state and federal laws.
