Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support receiving, stocking, and central pharmacy operations. You will assist in pre-packing, delivery, and act as a back-up buyer for medication procurement across the organization.

The role involves ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, ISMP, and state/federal regulations, while safeguarding patient privacy and performing essential technician duties across departments.

Qualifications

• High school level education preferred.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification are required.
• Back-up duties include ordering and inventory procurement.

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock drug shipments from wholesalers.
• Back-up to Pharmacy buyer for ordering and procurement.
• Review and optimize inventory in Carousels.
• Assist with yearly Pharmacy Inventory tasks.
• Assist with Drug Recalls and quarantine of recalled products.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties as needed.
