Job summary

Children's National Hospital is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Washington, DC to monitor and reconcile inventory, coordinate deliveries, and maintain accurate on-hand balances. The role supports the Pharmacy Services department within a leading pediatric hospital.

Minimum 2 years of related experience required, with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis skills. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years related experience required.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis and ERP systems.
  • Experience with Peoplesoft ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory levels by conducting physical counts and maintaining accurate on hand balances.
  • Assist with data entry processes and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist inventory Buyer with placing orders and resolving purchasing discrepancies.
  • Reconcile on hand quantities and units of measure discrepancies.
  • Oversee day-to-day inventory transactions and ensure accuracy.
  • Store products appropriately and designate storage areas.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of goods and supplies.
  • Coordinate inventory deliveries, returns, and proof of deliveries.
  • Authenticate goods received and resolve discrepancies.
  • Compile and review inventory reports (cycle counts, slow/fast moving items).

Will investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies and monitor demand fluctuations.
