Job summary

St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center, part of Catholic Health, offers a Pharmacy Intern opportunity with flexible scheduling to complement classroom studies.

Interns will work closely with pharmacists to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting on Long Island, NY. Applicants must hold an NYS Pharmacy Intern Permit, be enrolled in or graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy, and have hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• NYS Pharmacy Intern Permit
• Currently enrolled in or graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Hospital experience preferred
• Available to work at least two shifts per week: one weeknight, one weekend (7.5 hours)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with secondary functions in Pharmacy, including filling cassettes and bulk I.V. preparation using sterile technique
• Process incoming narcotics orders under supervision of a Pharmacist or Supervisor

Job Details

The Pharmacy Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside our Pharmacists providing valuable experience with flexible scheduling to complement their classroom studies.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Pharmacist with all secondary functions within the Pharmacy department including filling cassettes, bulk preparation of I.V. additives using sterile technique
• Processing incoming narcotics orders under the auspices of a Pharmacist and/or Supervisor

Requirements:

• NYS Pharmacy Intern Permit
• Current enrollment in or graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Hospital experience preferred
• Available to work at least two shifts per week, one weeknight evening and one of the weekends (7.5 hour shift).

Posted Salary Range

USD $31.05 - USD $31.05 /Hr.
