Job summary

Walgreens in California is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in providing excellent patient experiences and complying with regulations. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while modeling Walgreens service traits and policy adherence.

Under supervision, you will help with dispensing, patient counseling, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, orderly Pharmacy Department.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and patients, greet and assist with products and services; resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in pharmacy practice per state/federal policies and Walgreens SOPs; help with entering, third party processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
• Assist in inventory management, stock pharmacy supplies, and support maintenance of a clean, organized Pharmacy Department.
• Complete required training and maintain knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy updates.
