Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year pharmacy intern to join our pharmacy team in Rhode Island. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will contribute to safe, high‑quality patient care while supporting daily pharmacy operations and patient services.

You will engage in activities ranging from patient counseling and safety to inventory management and workflow optimization. This role requires ACPE‑accredited program enrollment, licensure progress, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
• Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
• Mobility and ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and handle items up to 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and customers
• Ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment
• Support patient safety, regulatory compliance and quality assurance
• Assist with inventory management and workflow
• Provide excellent customer service and helpful guidance to patients
