Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state within the district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists the pharmacy manager in optimizing pharmacy financials, inventory management and customer experience.
• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding medicine usage, side effects, interactions and generics; refers to medical provider when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies; opens and closes the pharmacy and handles shift-change duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
