Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to learn and assist in patient care, processing prescriptions, and delivering a distinctive customer experience. You will work under a pharmacist to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and Walgreens policies, while supporting inventory and customer service activities.

You must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy, fluent in English, and able to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy according to state, federal and company policy.
• Enter, process third-party, fill and dispense prescriptions following Walgreens SOPs.
• Assist with patient counseling and health services within state scope of practice for interns.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to policy in relation to errors.
• Maintain inventory and pharmacy department upkeep, and assist with customer service and cash handling.
