Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient information privacy, generics, over-the-counter products.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management; reviews and dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures safe and compliant operations per regulations and policies; supports workflow, assigns roles, coordinates activities, and handles opening/closing duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy tech systems and proposes enhancements to promote productivity.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with insurers and providers; participates in third party audits.
• Conducts immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive health services.
