Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year pharmacy intern to join our retail pharmacy team under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will contribute to patient safety, pharmaceutical care, and regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional service to every patient.

This part-time internship offers exposure to inventory management, workflow optimization, and immunization support as regulations permit, with opportunities to grow professionally in a supportive health care environment.

Qualifications

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• 0-3 years relevant work experience
• Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
• Ability to regular and predictable attendance, including weekends
• Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods
• Lift, scan, and bag items
• Finger dexterity: precise hand movements
• Reach overhead and extend to place or lift items
• Stoop to move items and operate equipment safely
• Visual acuity for reading and processing information
• Able to verbally communicate information clearly

Responsibilities

• Support patient safety and pharmacy professional practice
• Ensure regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards are met
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with inventory management
• Manage workflow excluding final prescription verification
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver better outcomes
