Job summary

AdventHealth Winter Garden is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to accurately respond to medication dispensing requests, prepare medications for pharmacist review, and deliver them to nursing units. This role supports sterile compounding, regulatory compliance, and medication-use process improvements while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely patient care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and chemotherapy handling preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond accurately to medication dispensing requests.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist review and deliver to nursing units.
• Return unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas.
• Support regulatory compliance and aseptic/sterile compounding tasks as needed.
• Assist with medication-use processes and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide patient education and participate in clinical projects as directed.
