Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to safely and effectively provide pharmacist-delivered patient care under supervision. The internship emphasizes compliance with state laws and the ability to work across a diverse patient population in a hospital setting.

The candidate will develop skills in dispensing accuracy, compounding, medication therapy management, and collaboration with healthcare providers, while exploring leadership and policy development within pharmacy

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ACPE approved college of pharmacy program.
• 20 hour ACPE accredited IV training course preferred.
• Pharmacy immunization certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with pharmacy laws and maintains confidentiality.
• Evaluates prescription orders and ensures accuracy in dispensing.
• Participates in sterile and non-sterile compounding training.
• Collaborates with physicians to formulate therapeutic plans and monitor outcomes.
• Uses clinical publications to answer drug-related questions.
