Job summary

CVS Health in Lewistown, PA seeks a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom knowledge to real-world practice under a preceptor. You will learn how a CVS pharmacy operates across store, district, and regional levels, while delivering patient-centered care.

You will follow SOPs, support the pharmacy team, and gain hands-on experience preparing prescriptions, counseling patients, and assisting with immunizations where permitted.

Qualifications

• Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Provide empathetic service, counsel patients when appropriate, and engage with patients by phone or in person.
• Help with immunizations and other services where legally allowed and under supervision.
• Support inventory tasks, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and stocking as directed by leadership.
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by the business.
