Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions and privacy; refers to provider when needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management as workload requires.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in compliance with regulations and company policies; handles opening/closing and shift duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
• Processes insurance claims accurately and follows up with insurers/providers to reduce rejections.
• Delivers preventive health services such as immunizations, flu shots and diabetes awareness programs.
• Cultivates relationships with local healthcare providers and supports community outreach to grow the pharmacy business.
