Job summary

The Cigna Group's Evernorth Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support formulary decision-making, drug evaluation, and market analysis across therapeutic categories. You will work with pharmacists and clinical strategists, preparing materials for stakeholders while learning PBM operations and healthcare market dynamics.

The role is a full-time summer internship (40 hours/week) with hybrid on-site work in Bloomington, MN or St.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an ACPE-accredited PharmD program, rising 3rd year.
• Interest in managed care, formulary management and pharmacy strategy.
• Ability to review details, solve problems, and explain findings clearly.
• Strong writing and speaking skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to plan work, meet due dates, and act on feedback.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Work with pharmacists and clinical strategists to learn PBM, drug evaluation, and market dynamics.
• Support review and analysis of medications across therapeutic areas.
• Research new drug launches, pipeline products, and clinical trends.
• Collect and summarize clinical, financial, and market information for formulary strategy discussions.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and materials for internal stakeholders.
• Analyze formulary and utilization data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with clinical, strategy, and operations partners.
• Support special projects related to formulary management and program development.
• Contribute to process improvement and knowledge management initiatives.
