Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy intern to learn and assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team, providing the best patient experience in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, while modeling a distinctive customer experience and supporting policy, procedures, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Works under pharmacist supervision to enter, third party processing, fill and dispense prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care and health services within state scope of practice.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow company policies on dispensing quality.
