UPMC Community Pharmacies in Pittsburgh is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to join Falk and Presby Prescription Shop. This casual internship offers flexible shifts from 7:00 a.m.

to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week, with every third weekend and one winter and one summer holiday annually. Under supervision, the intern will assist in medication distribution, order entry, IV prep, and patient counseling to support care delivery.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy, entering P1 year or above.
• Possess good communication and computer skills.
• Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy Intern License to be applied within 90 days of hire.
• Actively pursuing pharmacy education with interest in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with medication distribution and refilling cabinets.
• Fill medication orders and maintain patient profiles.
• Prepare IV admixtures/chemotherapy and controlled substance orders.
• Assist with medication reviews and evaluate drug interactions.
• Complete documentation and billing by end of each shift.
