Job summary

Riverside Health System in Onancock, Virginia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the department with IV sterile preparations, order entry where applicable, and dispensing support. The incumbent will assist pharmacists, handle Pyxis transactions, and ensure patient-centered service while complying with policies.

The role requires enrollment in an accredited Pharmacy Graduate Degree Program (Required) or completion of one year of such a program (Preferred).

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an Accredited Pharmacy Graduate Degree Program (Required).
Program Graduate, Completion of 1 year of Pharmacy Graduate Degree Program (Preferred).

Responsibilities

Prepares IV sterile preparations according to USP 797 guidelines.
Performs Pyxis fill functions accurately and timely.
Performs Order Entry (where applicable).
Participates in pharmacy preparation for Federal, State, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
Participates in inventory management; completes purchaser level 1 course and 340b compliance training.
Assists pharmacists in dispensing functions (prescriptions, matching labels, and filling floor requisitions).
Provides customer service excellence by addressing customers' needs and following up to ensure needs are met.
Monitors departmental productivity; supports flexing hours, shift changes, and time off.
